A free workshop for parents of primary school children with special educational needs is taking place in Lichfield.
The event at Maple Hayes Dyslexia School will give families access to legal advice from an education lawyer.
Andrew Barrowclough, head of the education law department at HCB Solicitors, and his team will host the dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) workshop on March 3.
Parents will be able to learn more about Education Health and Care Plans, which enable them to request or take control of the special provision and extra help they think would benefit their child.
Dr Daryl Brown, headteacher at Maple Hayes Dyslexia School, said: “Applying for plans such as these are often daunting for parents, so it’s imperative that they receive clear guidance on the processes so they can obtain the best possible support for their children.
“We’re delighted that HCB Solicitors will be joining us again this year to provide parents with its expertise in this complex matter.”
