A DEDICATED family support worker at St Giles Hospice has been honoured at a national ceremony.
Jane Morris was highly commended in the Palliative Care Worker Award category at the Palliative and End of Life Care Awards in London
She has worked at St Giles Hospice for nearly eight years, supporting patients and their loved ones through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Jane said:
"I am truly humbled by this, though I am very much part of a wonderful team and this recognition belongs to all of us. It is a privilege to do what I do every day, and I know that people who are no longer here would be proud."
Elinor Eustace, chief executive of the Whittington-based charity, added:
"Jane is an extraordinary member of our team who goes above and beyond every single day.
"This recognition is thoroughly deserved and we could not be more proud of her.
"The care and compassion she brings to her work makes a lasting difference to the patients and families we support."
