A former hairdressing salon in Lichfield could be turned into a fish and chip shop.
Planning permission is being sought to change the use of the building at Willow Court, off the Tamworth Road.
The site used to be home to Samantha Jo Hair and Beauty, but has been empty for several months.
A statement supporting the application said: “Should this proposal be granted planning permission, there would be a positive economic impact, especially considering the unit is vacant at present.
“The initial fit out work would create revenue for local businesses involved with it and once completed the shop will be seeking to employ several people to work there.”
