A NEW hourly Sunday and Bank Holiday bus timetable is being introduced on a route between Lichfield and Walsall.

Chaserider’s 36 service, which also calls at Shenstone, Stonnall, Aldridge and Rushall, will start from 5th January.

Buses will depart Walsall hourly from 9.10am to 5.10pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays, while the return route will leave Lichfield Bus Station hourly from 9.27am to 5.27pm.

Kallum Crawford, local operations manager at the Chaserider, said:

“This is a great time for us to move up a gear and work in partnership once again with both Transport for West Midlands and Staffordshire County Council to deliver the new Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday local bus service.

“I would encourage local residents to try the bus as a viable alternative to using the car and help to free up our gridlocked roads – it’s much less fuss when you travel by bus.”

The service is funded by Transport for West Midlands and Staffordshire County Council through the Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan.

Full timetable details can be found on the Chaserider website.
