A NEW postbox topper has been installed in Whittington.
The spring-themed addition outside Main Street Cafe is the latest creation by the members of Whittington Craft Club.
However, the future of such activities could be in doubt as Royal Mail rolls out new solar-powered postboxes.
It estimates that 3,500 of them will be installed, with the panels on top powering a drawer to allow customers to deposit small parcels.
But the new design would prevent toppers from being added in future.
