A former pub in Burntwood could be converted into a restaurant and takeaway.

The Oak at Sankey’s Corner has been boarded up for several years, but a planning application has now gone in which could see a new use for the site.
The application says no major external changes will be made to the building, but a restaurant area will be created on the ground floor with around 40 seats.
A statement supporting the plan said: “The proposal will bring back into use a building which has been vacant for a number of years.”
Full details of the plan can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s website.
