An empty Shenstone pub is set to be given a new lease of life after planners gave a refurbishment scheme the thumbs up.
The Plough and Harrow on Pinfold Hill will have its single-storey extension removed and replaced with a larger building to house the restaurant and kitchen.
The current entrance porch will also be replaced to allow for improved disabled access.
“The extended restaurant and refurbished pub will continue to service local needs of customers and provide employment to the local area,” a statement supporting the planning application said.
Other improvements will see the car park upgraded and the introduction of bicycle storage for staff.
Full details of the project can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
