More than 150 new homes could be built in Alrewas.
Land off Dark Lane has been earmarked for the new Essington Green development.
Plans have been submitted to Lichfield District council for 151 properties to be built, along with associated access roads and new canal moorings.
The developers say the new buildings would be an “attractive and sustainable extension to Alrewas”.
“The development seeks to provide opportunities for people in Alrewas to get on the property ladder, rent or buy and move and up-size homes without leaving the community,” a statement supporting the proposal said.
“The development will be an asset for Alrewas.”
