Burntwood RUFC 3rds fielded a strong side away to Stafford 3rds under the leadership of scrum half Mark Bourne and they returned with a 48-19 win.
The back row of Matt Cummins, Simon Edwards and Mark Thomas were in fine form and scored three of the seven tries with two for Cummins and one for Thomas.
Cummins also added the kicking points for a personal haul of 23 points.
Further tries came from Paul Lee (2), Rob England and Dave Forsyth. Winger James Wright impressed on his debut for the club.
Next Saturday (October 9), Burntwood 3rds are in Merit Table action against Handsworth 2nds.
