Students at Barton-under-Needwood’s John Taylor High School have celebrated another year of successful A-level and BTEC results.
The school saw over 57% of grades achieved at A*, A or B.
Among the top A-Level students were:
- Daniel Ruttley – 4 A*s
- Lucy Boland (3 A*s & 2As)
- Ben Bottrill (3 A*s)
- Oliver Tooth (3 A*s)
- Robert Adderly (2A*s and 2As)
- Kelly Caldicott (2A*s and 1A)
- Henna Chaudhry (2A*s and 1A)
Meanwhile, the BTEC Level 3 results saw Thomas Bishop and Paige Stanley secure four D* grades, while Olivia Austin, Oliver Barker, Sally Barlow, Jessica Clarke, Abigail Goode, Connor Grant, Harry Pickett, Emma Titley, Bethany Tyler and Megan Watkins all scooped three D* grades.
“These achievements are a testament to the incredible hard work and ability of our students”, said John Taylor’s principal Mike Donoghue.
“Nationally, we’ve seen a considerable amount of turbulence in examination performance. But our students continue to perform very impressively. We attribute this to their tenacity to succeed, and the highest expectations our staff have for them, coupled with incredible support from their families.
“It’s no secret formula, but it’s a winning one. I firmly believe that there is nowhere better for Sixth Form studies in Staffordshire.”
