LOCAL students receiving their A-Level results are being urged to explore the variety of routes into work, training and further study.
Young people will receive the outcome of their studies today (13th August).
Staffordshire County Council’s Jobs and Careers service is offering anyone aged 18 and over fully-funded, one-to-one careers and employability support.
Cllr Janet Higgins, cabinet member for education at Staffordshire County Council, said:
"I would like to congratulate all our young people receiving their A-Level results today.
"Whether your results were exactly what you hoped for or not, this is just one stage in your journey and there are many exciting opportunities ahead.
"Success does not come through a single route. University is the right choice for some, while others may choose an apprenticeship, further training or move directly into employment. What matters is finding the path that is right for you.
"I would encourage anyone who is unsure about their next steps to make use of the support available through Staffordshire Jobs and Careers. The service offers practical advice, guidance and encouragement to help young people make informed decisions and move forward with confidence into the next chapter of their lives."
Cllr Robin Hall, cabinet member for economy and skills at Staffordshire County Council, said:
"Results day matters, but your grades do not define your future. University is right for some people, while for others an apprenticeship, training or going straight into work will be the better route.
