Councillor Ben Adams, Cabinet member for learning and skills at Staffordshire County Council, said: “Getting their preferred school is really important to parents and the county council has an excellent track record in meeting people’s requirements as much as possible.

“We’re leading the way nationally with our admissions process, making it as easy as possible to apply while also ensuring the majority of parents receive their first choice secondary school.

“It’s essential that parents get their applications in on time to give them the best chance of being allocated one of their top three preferred schools.”

People can apply for secondary school places for September 2017 online.
