A "MUCH-LOVED" landmark has disappeared in Whittington.
A lime tree that stood opposite the Old Hall on the corner of Vicarage Lane has been felled.
It had been examined by experts on behalf of Whittington and Fisherwick Parish Council – and they confirmed it had died needed to be taken down urgently to prevent it posing a threat to residents or road users.
