A VAN has been seized after a fly-tipping incident in Stonnall.

The vehicle was spotted in November 2025 after covert CCTV cameras were installed on Whitacre Lane.

The footage also included the Ford Transit van’s registration number, allowing environmental health officers from Lichfield District Council to locate and seize it at an address in Walsall on 23rd April.

The registered keeper – who has not been named – was identified as responsible for the offence and was issued with a £1,000 fixed penalty notice, which has since been paid.

Cllr Richard Cox, cabinet member for community and public protection, said:

“Lichfield District Council will not tolerate fly-tipping. It damages the environment and places an unfair burden on taxpayers.

“Our officers will investigate every reported incident and take action against those responsible.”
