RESIDENTS who have helped raise thousands of pounds for charities will once again throw open the gates to their gardens this summer.

Margaret and Peter Hargreaves regularly take part in the National Garden Scheme by allowing visitors to explore the grounds of their Grafton Cottage home in Barton-under-Needwood.

People can explore the gardens at their open days which take place from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on 16th July, 19th July and 2nd August.

A spokesperson said:

"Visitors can enjoy the beautiful gardens along with tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes.

"It's a great afternoon out for families, friends and garden lovers, while supporting a truly worthwhile cause."

Grafton Cottage is located on Bar Lane in Barton-under-Needwood.
