Volunteers in Whittington have been thanked for supporting efforts to maintain local canal towpaths.

A working party carried out tasks such as cutting back overgrown hedges from Whittington Bridge to the Garden Bridge.

They will be out again next month carrying out work to replace fallen fencing and carry out weeding.

Volunteers can meet at the Fisherwick Road entrance to the canal at 10am on 9th December.
