CAMPAIGNERS say they are determined to keep up the fight against plans for hundreds of new homes on land in Burntwood.
Bloor Homes has drawn up revised proposals for the site off Coulter Lane.
But the development could still see 250 properties built on the plot.
Despite the changes to the plans, Burntwood Action Group said it was ready to launch a battle to halt the development.
A spokesperson said:
“We are finalising an objection guide based on professional advice from our planners and heritage experts.
“We are ready for this fight.”
The group has urged residents to follow the advice if they want to object to the proposals.
They explained:
“We know people are angry – we are too. But now is time for strategic action and not a rush to object.
“Why? Because a comment is not the same as a legal objection. To stop 250 houses on our green belt we need to talk about heritage, highway law, infrastructure and policy.
“If everyone posts ‘I don’t want this’ it is easy to ignore. If we all post technical, law-based objections they have to answer us.”
Bloor Homes’ revised proposals have reduced the number of homes originally earmarked for the site, as well as removing a planned community hub following feedback from residents.

“We are conscious of the significant local interest in our proposals and have sought to respond positively and proactively to feedback received through our community consultation wherever we can.
“We have significantly reduced the overall scale of development and removed development completely from the site parcel east of Coulter Lane.
“Our plans will provide extensive attractively landscaped public open spaces offering a range of outdoor recreational opportunities for the whole community.
“The outline planning application is the first formal stage in the planning process and we remain committed to ongoing engagement with local representatives to provide much-needed high-quality homes at this sustainable infill location while delivering community benefits wherever possible.”
