People in Lichfield and Burntwood will be able to have their say on controversial plans for future housing developments at a series of consultation events.
The Local Plan Allocations will cover how different parts of the area will be used in future.
There has already been criticism over parts of the Green Belt in Burntwood that have been earmarked for housing.
Councillor Ian Pritchard, Cabinet member for economic growth, development and environment, said: “It’s important that everyone gets engaged in the planning process and takes a look at our proposals and gives their views.
“We will consider all of the comments as part of the next stage in the process, and then we’ll send them to the independent planning inspector who will inspect the Local Plan Allocations along with any feedback.
“We hope plenty of people will take the opportunity to join us at the events, as they will be a good opportunity to talk through the proposals and find out how to give your views.”
The consultation will run from March 20 to May 12 and planners will be on hand to talk through the proposals and answer questions at sessions running from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on
- 21 March 21 at Alrewas Village Hall
- March 23 at Mile Oak Community Centre
- March 27 at Lichfield District Council
- March 31 at Whittington Village Hall
- April 3 at The Old Mining College Centre in Chasetown
- April 4 at Fradley Village Hall
- April 5 at St John the Baptist Church Hall in Shenstone WS14 0JB
- April 7 at Armitage & District Royal British Legion Club.
Comments can be given online, where the plans are also available to be viewed. The deadline for responses to the plans is 5pm on May 12.
