A new leader of Burntwood Town Council has been chosen.

The controlling Conservative group have selected Cllr Doug Pullen to take on the role following the decision by Cllr Norma Bacon to step down.
Cllr Pullen represents the Hammerwich ward anis also a Cabinet member at Lichfield District Council.
He said he was looking forward to playing his part in helping the town to thrive.
“Burntwood is an excellent place to live, work and raise a family,” he said. “Our role as a council is to enhance the town and that is what I will be focusing my efforts on as leader.”
