A woman has died after being hit by a car in Shenstone.
The incident happened just before 5pm this evening on the Birmingham Road at Shenstone Wood End.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Staff arrived to find an elderly woman who had been involved in a collision wiht a car.
“The woman was in traumatic cardiac arrest. They immediately took over resuscitation efforts from bystanders who had stopped to help.
“Unfortunately, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
The driver was not injured but was treated by ambulance staff for the effects of shock.
