The Liberal Democrat candidate for a by-election in Lichfield says he is determined to ensure the key services aren’t hit hard by funding cuts.
The Curborough ward seat on Lichfield District Council is up for grabs following the death of Conservative councillor Jeanette Allsop earlier this year.
Three parties will battle it out for the seat on July 5, with Lee Cadwallader-Allan standing for the Lib Dems.
The NHS management accountant says he hopes to win the seat and fight for key services.
“I am passionate about health and social care,” he said. “My professional experience enables me to campaign effectively for our vital local health and care services.
“We must not let cuts to local government funding hit those who are relying on the services provided by the council. Any cuts must be applied fairly, and should not have a disproportionate impact on those in need.”
