A Lichfield school is promising to get summer off to a sizzling start with a musical event in its grounds.
The Friary School music department will be hosting the event for the third time on July 1 at 7pm.
Taking place on the school’s playing field, the Summer Sizzler will feature music from the Jazz Band, Concert Band, Senior Choir, Salsa Group, Chamber Orchestra and several student formed bands. There will also be a display of some of the Art work that Friary students have completed during the course of the year.
A spokesperson for the even said:
“The last two have been both memorable and enjoyable, however, increased participation by students and audience size has meant we have had to seek out a larger venue.
“There will be a bar provided by the PTA and a hog roast and ice cream van for those with a sweet tooth!”
