A CHARITY has been boosted by a donation of £1,695 from a local organisation.
Microtia UK, which supports families of children born with the rare birth condition which sees a baby's outer ear underdeveloped or missing, received the funding from Lichfield St Chad Rotary.
The charity was chosen by the group's former president Elaine Hutchings BEM.
A spokesperson for Lichfield St Chad Rotary said:
"The proceeds have been collected over a period of time via events ranging from raffles to fines being levied on members at meetings for a bit of fun and further donations.
"We are proud to have been able to collect so much. This is Rotary at its best, supporting charities and doing good in the community."
