CHASETOWN will look to get 2026 off to a winning start when they host Sporting Khalsa on New Year’s Day.
Jamie Hawkins’ side ended this year on a high with a win over Stafford Rangers on Boxing Day.
The Scholars boss is keen to back that result up and start the New Year in victorious fashion.
He said:
“We hope that we can kick off 2026 with a positive result and we will be giving our all to try and do just that.
“We know just how tough of a test Khalsa will pose though. They are an athletic side with pace in their team that we will need to snub out.”
The Willenhall-based visitors also found a victory on Boxing Day when they collected maximum points against Black Country rivals Darlaston Town.
Hawkins said:
“They will be fighting like crazy for every inch in the game so we have to be ready to match that endeavour, work rate and desire.”
Kick off at the Scholars Ground is at 3pm on New Year’s Day.
