A Lichfield museum has been handed a green-fingered accolade for work to grow plants linked to Erasmus Darwin.
Work has taken place over the last two years on the Medicine Chest Garden at Erasmus Darwin House.
National charity Plant Heritage inspected the garden and were delighted to award full historical status:
“The committee were pleased to see a collection come forward with this interesting context.”

The garden contains a variety of plants referenced in Darwins writings and reflect the greenery used at the time by professional physicians.
