An historic pumping station in Burntwood will be open for public tours next month.

The Maplebrook Waterworks site on Rugeley Road wwas built between 1912 and 1915.
It is one of the few in England to have its original triple expansion steam engines in situ.
A spokesperson for Heritage Open Days said: “The redbrick neo-classical style building reflects the high value placed on its important civic function at the time of construction.”
Tours run at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on September 8 and must be pre-booked online.
