Police are still searching for a gang who robbed a security guard at a Burntwood supermarket.
The G4S employee was attacked outside Morrisons on Milestone Way at 10am yesterday (November 6).
His attacker stole a cash box before fleeing with others in a stole white Ford CMAX car that was later found dumped in Juniper Close. Police say the men then ran off towards Hawthorne Crescent where they are believed to have escaped in a silver or grey vehicle.
Detective Inspector Steve Chadwick said: “This robbery appears to have been well planned and took place in broad daylight outside a busy supermarket.”
The cash box was emptied by the gang before being dumped on a nearby traffic island.
Two men involved in the robbery are described as white, in their late 30s or early 40s and both wearing dark clothing. One of the men also wore a high-visibility vest.
