Staff and students from a Burntwood school are teaming up for a charity challenge.

The group from Chase Terrace Technology College will complete The Climbing Challenge.

As well as keeping pupils active, the school’s PE team is also using the activity as a way to raise money for NHS Charities Together.

In a letter to pupils John Swannell, head of PE, said:

“The challenge is simple – use your stairs or any steps that are safe within social distancing guidelines and climb them.

“Keep count of how many times you go up and down and see if you can climb as high as Lichfield Cathedral, The Empire State Building or really go for it and conquer Mount Everest.”

People can donate to the challenge via the online fundraising page.
