Businesses creating new jobs for people and Lichfield have been given the thumbs-up by the Prime Minister.

David Cameron said he “commended” companies such as Voyage Care, who are based at Wall Island, after a House of Commons question by Tamworth MP Christopher Pincher, whose constituency covers Stonnall and Shenstone.

“I am pleased the Prime Minister has encouraged more firms to set up business in my constituency creating even more jobs,” Mr Pincher said afterwards. “I am particularly keen that the business parks at Wall Island and in Shenstone get more recognition for the jobs and opportunities they provide.

“We must not be complacent but after a terrible recession in 2008 and some tough years to set ourselves straight the benefits of the government’s long term economic plan are beginning to show.”
