Midfielder Ben Jevons believes Chasetown FC’s new faces will take no time to settle in at the club.

Manager Charlie Blakemore has added Dwayne Spence and Chris Morris to his ranks in recent weeks.

And Spence has already made two appearances off the bench, while former Rushall Olympic striker Morris found the net on his debut at Retford.

Jevons believes the camaraderie in the dressing room will allow the new arrivals to settle in.

He said:

“We always try and welcome the new team mates and make them feel good in new surroundings. The new lads seem to be confident on the pitch which is great.”

The Scholars will look to keep up their promotion push tomorrow (April 2) when they entertain Stocksbridge Park Steels (3pm kick-off).

And Jevons admits Chasetown now have a mini-season ahead of them to secure a play-off berth.

“It’s the time of the season were there are prizes to be won – fingers crossed we will be in there fighting for them.”
