HUNDREDS of new homes could be built on land in Burntwood.
A screening opinion application has been submitted to Lichfield District Council for the plot south of Highfields Road.
Cameron Homes’ request will ascertain whether an environmental impact assessment would be required as part of a request for full planning permission for the development further down the line.
The proposals could see 450 new homes constructed alongside cycle and pedestrian routes.
Should the scheme progress to full application it would see access points and infrastructure also built.
