Burntwood Town failed to pick up a Bank Holiday Monday win as they lost out to Barton United.

Defensive woes continue to hit the Midland Combination Division Two side as they went down 5-3.

Dean Williams hit a double for Burntwood, while Mykel Nathan Galloway was also on target.

However, they failed to keep their hosts quiet and two apiece for Jonathan Douglas and Ben Dade, together with a strike from Dale Barton ensured Town were unable to collect even a point for their efforts.

Burntwood return to action on Saturday (September 1) when they entertain Kenilworth Town, while Barton’s season continues in the Challenge Vase when the travel to Leamington Hibernian on the same day.
