Burntwood Town’s hopes of climbing higher than 12th in the Midland Combination Division Two were ended by defeat against Sutton United.
The league leaders were too strong on the day with goals from Thomas Naraine, Simeon Townsend and Ryan Simmonds (2) cancelling out a solitary strike from Robert Lakin.
Town will now need to make sure they get something from their remaining two games to ensure they don’t slip any further down the table.
They return to action with a visit to Enville Athletic tomorrow (May 14).
